Did someone say bread?!?!

  • 360g flour
  • 1.25 cups warm water
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp active yeast
  • A generous sprinkle of ground flax seed

  1. Add dry ingredients to a large bowl & gently whisk to combine
  2. Stir in water until dough forms
  3. Cover bowl with plastic wrap & place in proof oven or other warm place (such as oven with the light turned on) and let rest until at least double in size
  4. Turn dough into parchment paper lined bread pan (I used glass because that’s what I have), cover loosely and return to warm place & let rest for 30 minutes
  5. While dough rests preheat oven to 425f
  6. Remove cover & bake 20 minute, reduce temp to 350 & continue to bake another 20 minutes
  7. Remove pan from oven, carefully lift parchment paper and loaf out of pan & place on rack to cool for an hour. If you cut the loaf while it’s still hot the dough may be wetter than desired
